We're happy to share that Minnesota has become the 23rd state to legalize recreational marijuana. The bill was signed into law on May 30, 2023 by Governor Tim Walz and will go into go into effect on August 1, 2023. The new law will now make possession and cultivation of marijuana legal in Minnesota for adults that are over 21 years of age. A system for legal marijuana sales, however, could take up to two years to fully establish in the state.
In past times, if you were an NBA athlete, you would want to steer clear of any controlled substances. Today, things are much different, as the NBA has officially signed a contract removing marijuana from its list of banned substances, now allowing players to invest in cannabis companies and promote cannabis brands.
Speaking of his own interest in psychedelics, Frank Biden (President Joe Biden's younger brother) shared during a call-in on "The Michael Smerconish Program" that he did research, investigating the root causes of addiction, since he's a recovering alcoholic. During his time on the SiriusXM call-in, he said that substances like ketamine, LSD, and ayahuasca have shown magnificent result in helping treat those who suffer from mental health conditions, such as depression, which can cause people to drink. He also shared a shocking piece of information, saying that President Joe Biden is "very open-minded" to the use of psychedelic medicines to aid in treating addiction.
